Elliana is in one of her favorite poses. Ready and waiting for Mommy or Daddy to throw a $1.99 bouncy ball. This bouncy ball was one of a few frivolous purchases we have made on our daughter's behalf, but has proved to be worth every penny.Without warning, I can hear the pitter patter of little feet running down the hallway in search of her ball. Upon locating the ball amongst plastic food, stuffed toys and wooden blocks, Elliana grabs the ball and runs to the hallway. There she sits. In the pose above. For several quiet minutes...waiting. Elliana waits and then starts repeating "more ball" again and again until Daddy or I come and sit.
When Daddy or I agree to play with the ball...back to the hallway she runs. In the same position, repeating "more ball" with growing excitement. Oh, how I love the simplicity of toddlerhood and Elliana's repeated excitement with the same game.
