While driving home from running errands last night, we admired all of the Christmas lights adorning our community. Every house with even a single candle in the window grabbed the attention of Elliana and was followed by a loud exclamation of "CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!" as she pointed in the direction of the light.
Nearly home, we spotted a house that typically goes all out with the decorations and this year was no exception. Elliana, who rarely is out past nightfall hadn't yet seen this particular house ablaze with lights. And....then ....she.... saw it.
"HOLY SMOKES AND COWS!!! DID YOU SEE THE HOUSE?!" was shouted from the backseat. And all I could do was smile. I love how 3-year olds describe exciting events.
