As the trip got closer, I began to be filled with anxiety, fear and trepidation about the reality of taking the girls on their first adventure overseas, the close quarters of our stateroom and the many obstacles of traveling with an infant.
Well, I am happy to say we did it! We all survived and even thrived on our adventure. The girls were exposed to the Grand Cayman Islands (also the first country I visited as a teenager, and sparked my love for travel) and Mexico.
Elliana marched through the airport with confidence unlike most traveling 4-year olds and Maya was a trooper despite missed naps, lots of confinement and practically no routine.
I have a lot more to report and more photos to document but I must go for now as I have a sleeping baby on me as I type one handed in the Houston airport.
New opportunities and adventures can sometimes be overwhelming, even terrifying (for routine based pre-planning mommas like myself), but in the end they are ALWAYS worth it.
