Oh Maya, how do I begin to describe you? Well, you are awesome. Into everything, always energetic and 99 % of the time happy. How could we ask for anything more?! Like I said, you are just awesome.
This past month you have begun standing without holding onto anything. You don't like to stand long, but you can do it and are working up your courage to stay standing longer and longer. "Little Quack Counts" is your favorite book and you frequently crawl to your book basket, pull it out and start leafing through the pages. Elliana has memorized the book, as have Daddy & I so you always have someone willing to read to you.
Your interest in ripping toilet paper off the roll, playing in toilet water, playing with electronic buttons, crawling into Mommy's shower, crawling toward stairs and up them have all greatly increased this past month. You are always into something and keep me on my toes. I love the sly little look you give when you know you are doing something you shouldn't do.
You are still quite the eater and love to try new foods, mostly whatever we are eating. You tried your first piece of cake this month as we celebrated Elliana, Daddy and Papa Jim's birthdays. Naps are hit and miss. Some days you sleep only 20 minutes all day, which is hard to believe...but you are still happy, so I really can't complain. Other days you rock out a 3 hour nap, causing me to pace in panic and check on you rather frequently.
A new tooth must be trying to surface as you slept through the night for just a few nights and now are whimpering and not able to settle yourself down to go back to sleep. Even if I never sleep again, please know that you are an abundance of joy and laughter in my life. I love you sweet baby girl and can not believe you are already 10 months old!!
